Hello!
I hope you all enjoy a lovely 4th.
My computer is broken, so I'm not able to post much now. Hubby is home today so I get to use his laptop and catch up......so much of my world revolves around internet access, it's kind of scarey, LOL!
Enjoy your day!
Here's a new purse I got to see yesterday. It's a "one of a kind, designer original". The girls had me cracking up yesterday, everytime they mentioned the purse the called it a "one of a kind, designer original"
Marley made this purse yesterday, and then she and her sister did a "photo shoot". I've been hearing some buzz about a skirt in the works, but the design is top secret!
I was tagged by Jane...I've been reading quite a few of the random things meme's in the blog world, and totally forgot to do my own. Let's see if I can do this without sounding like a total nut!
1. I'm an only child.
2. I went to 4 proms. My husband brings this up frequently.
3. I love Boone's Farm "wine". I only drink it about once a year, and usually end up sick.
4. I keep up with celebrity gossip, I read US, People and Star magazine. I read TMZ and Perezhilton daily. I think this has something to do with my lack of adult conversation daily.
5. I don't like alot of people. This is a fact only known by my closest friends.
6. I hate when my food touches other food on my plate. My kids are the same way. I should buy some plates with dividers.
7. It's 10am. Today is the last day of school. I'm still in my jammies, I just had a Diet coke and whoppers for breakfast. I'm enjoying my last day of "alone time".
Crafty Daisies had a summer swap, you had to make at least one item, then stuff a flat rate box full of summer stuff. I thought this sounded like a fun swap. My partner likes cupcakes, polka dots, gerber daisies, pink, and 50's houswives. I had fun putting this package together. This is the first swap I've done, where the recipient hasn't let me know she got her package. Luckily I had delivery confirmation. I also haven't recieved a package....that's kind of disappointing. I hope I don't sound like a whiner, LOL!
I send cupcake liners, sprinkles, picks and a magazine with cupscakes. Coasters, key chain and tissue cozy. Pedicure stuff, candles, snowcone cups, recipes with a summer CD and a vintage housekeeping book. I think that' it! Happy Summer!
Time is going way to fast these days. I can't believe it's the mid May already. I think there's only 3 weeks of school left YAY!!!! Anyway, Madyson had her First Communion on Sunday. She was sooo excited. She'd been counting down the days for weeks. Back in the fall I had thoughts of making her dress, but I really don't think I could've done it. Maybe I'll be able to make her prom dress someday, LOL! I did make her veil though :-) We had a nice party afterwards were her best friend Billy's family. I was thinking back on the first day Madyson met Billy. We were at a softball game (their sisters played on the same team) and I introduced Billy to Madyson and said they'd be going to kindergarted together. They played together the rest of the game (and every game after that). After the game Billy and his Dad were walking me to my car and Billy was talking and saying how I should be come friends with his mom, and we could go on Summer vacations together and maybe we could have holidays together and it would be so great.......and on and on and on. I thought it was so cute and funny. Now here we are 3 years later and guess what, Billy's mom is my best friend, we've been on trips together, we've celebrated Holidays together and they really have become part of our family. What a smart little boy! Here are some pictures from the big day. I guess the next time we see her dressed like this will be her wedding!
This was a fun swap! We swapped aprons for our mini's this time. I picked Marley to get our apron since the swap was close to her birthday. She was so excited to get her apron yesterday. We got a box full of wonderful treats that were perfect for us. Thanks so much Kirie! We sent our package to Nancy and Matty, I had fun making aprons for little Matty.
Here's are the great things Kirie sent. Udon noodles, wasabi peas, sesame seeds, wasabi powder, chopsticks and some recipes that I can't wait to try. We had a yummy dinner last night!
Here are some pictures of the skirts I made for Randi. I think she's got about 70 skirts now, WOW! These aren't the greatest pictures, I wanted to take advantage of the sunlight but it was really windy. Speaking of the weather........we've been having beautiful weather, it's been about 80 degrees the last couple of days. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 50's and then we're going to have highs in 30's! It's supposed to snow on Easter. Maybe the kids can wear their Christmas outfits to Easter church.
